How to Get Approved on Faire (Even if You’ve Been Rejected Before)
So, you want to sell on Faire? Great choice. It’s the biggest B2B marketplace in the world — and growing fast. But getting approved isn’t as simple as ticking a few boxes anymore.
We’ve seen dozens of amazing brands get stuck at the approval stage. Here’s what’s going on — and what you can actually do about it.
Why It's Harder to Get Approved Now
- Quality control is tighter. Faire wants retailers to trust every product they see. That means only accepting brands with strong, retail-ready offerings.
- The market’s crowded. Especially in core categories like candles, jewellery, and home fragrance. Unless you have a killer brand and product range, you might blend into the noise.
- Regional saturation is real. In big markets like the US, UK, and Australia, we’re seeing early-stage brands get blocked while newer, less saturated markets (like NZ or parts of Europe) get more traction.
So… Can You Get In?
Yes. But not always on the first go.
We’ve had brands get rejected, apply again a few months later with improved imagery and messaging — and get in.
And we’ve also had a few get approved instantly using our referral link:
(Just being upfront — it doesn’t guarantee approval, but it does help signal that you’re connected to an existing brand. Worth trying.)
What Faire Looks for (but won’t tell you)
Faire won’t give you a reason if you’re rejected. But based on hundreds of applications we’ve seen, here are the most common deal-breakers:
🔍 Brand + Product Red Flags
- Inconsistent pricing (e.g. your wholesale price differs elsewhere online)
- Small or incomplete range (less than 5 products can be risky)
- Reselling or dropshipping (Faire wants makers, not middlemen)
- Weak or blurry product imagery
- No retail-ready packaging or POS info
📸 Photography Issues
Poor photos are one of the top reasons brands get rejected — and it’s also the easiest fix. Retailers shop visually. If your images don’t pop, you don’t get clicked.
You need:
- A clean, front-facing shot (preferably white background)
- Zoomed-in detail showing quality
- Lifestyle or in-use images
- The back of your product (yes, really)

🚩 Application Red Flags
- Weak social proof (no reviews, no socials, or very early stage)
- Typos, mismatched business info, unverified bank details
- Duplicate accounts (e.g. using the same email for retailer and brand)
- Saturation in your category/region
