Faire Market Manual 7: Graphics you need to improve your product listings on Faire.
Share
We've hit week 7 of the Market Manual. If you missed the first 6 you can catch up right here.
This week we are talking about graphics. The small visual tweaks that can have a very big impact on how your brand performs during Summer Market.
You don’t need a full rebrand. You don’t need a huge design overhaul. But you do need to make it very clear, very quickly, why a retailer should buy from you right now.
So where should you focus?
- Add your Summer Market offer into your imagery. Don’t rely on retailers reading descriptions. Call it out clearly in your product images and your shop banner. If your offer is strong, it should be visible everywhere.
- Update your shop cover image. This is one of the first things retailers see. Use it to highlight your offer, your seasonal focus and what makes your brand stand out right now.
- Lean into the season visually. If you are pushing Autumn/Winter and Christmas, your imagery should reflect that. Warmer tones, gifting cues, seasonal styling. Help retailers instantly understand when and how your products will sell.
- Add USPs into your graphics. Don’t hide your selling points in text. Use simple overlays or icons to highlight things like bestsellers, eco credentials, gifting potential, or anything that makes your product stand out.
- Use iconography to create consistency. Clean, simple icons across your listings make your brand feel more professional and easier to understand at a glance. Think of it as building a visual language across your catalogue.
- Improve your first image. This is the one that gets clicked. It should be clear, high contrast, and easy to understand even at a small size. Avoid clutter. Make the product obvious.
- Think about how your products sit together. When a retailer lands on your page, your imagery should feel cohesive. Not like a mix of random product shots.
- Show scale and context. Help retailers understand size, display and use. Lifestyle or in-store style imagery can make a big difference to conversion.
If you take one thing from this email, it’s this:
Your visuals should do the selling before your words do.
Action for this week: Review your top 5 listings and update at least one image on each to better reflect your offer, your USPs and the upcoming season.
Quick tip:
You don’t need to redesign everything. Small changes like adding a badge, updating a banner or introducing consistent icons can massively improve how professional and compelling your listings feel.
